Blackall Coal Project
Blackall Coal Project
-
- Location: Situated 130 km south-west of the Alpha area coal projects.
- Geology: Features flat-lying coal seams across a 25 km synclinal structure.
- Shallow Resources: Over 740Mt of the estimated thermal coal resources sit at a depth of less than 50 metres.
- Increased Certainty: In-fill drilling successfully completed in 2023 nearly doubled the project's Indicated Resource to 55 million tonnes.
- Resource Upgrade: Since the last Resource Update in February 2024, reductions in number of sub blocks from the 2 EPC’s have necessitated a review of the coal resource estimate. The Company's Coal Resource Statement was updated on 7 August 2026.1 The total coal resource is comprised by 55Mt of Indicated and 1070Mt of Inferred Coal Resources.
